Laulan Sinule (I sing to You) is an electronic pop band. Band was formed in november 2009 under the bed in the bedroom of a synth-freak Taavi Tulev. In earlier times Taavi has been mostly associated with instrumental music. For half a year the band remained anonymous until the 1st album was finished.

Laulan Sinule consists of different musical aspects Taavi has represented earlier with his instrumental music now mixing it with his philosophical point of view. It's like vocal techno music - bass drum and analog synths are in high priority, but the vocals added are not just random words/voices. Every song tells its own story which is quite often inspired by things happening either outside or inside. Songs are sincere, sang in Estonian, inspired by beautiful things and are sometimes extremely
radical. In live situation there are two more members in the band other than Taavi. Synth player and vocalist Triinu and a male dancer Priidik.

Les Yper Sound 5 v! 2.7.2010

Les Yper Sound-klubi juhlii 5-vuotissynttäreitä Dynamossa ja B-galleriassa perjantaina 2.7.

Dynamossa noin kuukausittain toimiva indie-klubi Les Yper Sound
täyttää 5 vuotta ja juhlii sitä klubi-illalla ja julistenäyttelyllä. Live-esiintyjiä
klubilla on ollut jo yli 50 kappaletta, suuri osa ulkomaalaisia, lähinnä ruotsalaisia
mutta myöskin Englannista, Saksasta ja Virosta. Les Yper Soundin ideana on aina ollut
tuoda esiintymään vähemmän tunnettuja artisteja joita ei ehkä muuten näkisi Turussa tai
edes Suomessa ja sen lisäksi soittaa tilanteeseen sopivaa levymusiikkia, joka tässä yhteydessä
tarkoittaa lähinnä kaikenlaista enemmän tai vähemmän "vaihtoestoista" poppia 60-luvulta nykypäivään.

Tällä kertaa live-keikan ja klubi-illan lisäksi järjestetään myös B-galleriassa pieni yhden illan
juliste- ja flyerinäyttely joka kokoaa kaikki Les Yper Soundin julisteet viiden vuoden ajalta, tarjolla
myös pientä purtavaa ja musiikkia. Näyttely/avajaiset tapahtuvat klo 19-22 perjantaina B-galleriassa
(Aninkaistenkatu 5 L 5) ja sen jälkeen voi mennä Dynamoon (Linnankatu 7) katsomaan illan esiintyjää, Tukholmasta
saapuvaa Top Soundia. Top Sound on järjestäjien mielestä Ruotsin tällä hetkellä paras yhtye. Sen
hieman minimalistinen äänimaailma yhdistää bossanovaa, ranskalaista 60-lukua, 80-luvun postpunk-minimalismia kuten Young Marble Giantsia,
elektronista vähäelestä poppia ja Amerikan länsirannikon Beach Boys-tapaisia harmonioita.
Tapahtuma maksaa 3 euroa, B-gallerian tapahtuma ilmainen.



Les Yper Sound-klubben firar 5-års födelsedag på Dynamo och B-galleria fredagen 2.7.

Den ungefär månatliga indie-klubben Les Yper Sound fyller 5 år och firar med klubbkväll och
planschutställning. Klubben har under årens lopp presenterat över 50 artister varav en stor del utländska,
främst från Sverige, men även från England, Tyskland och Estland. Idén med Les Yper Sound har
alltid varit att presentera mindre kända band som man kanske inte annars hade haft möjlighet att se i
Åbo eller ens i Finland. Förutom detta spelar man för sammanhanget lämplig musik till, vilket i detta fall
betyder främst olika former av mer eller mindre "alternativ" popmusk från 60-talet till nutid.

Denhär gången ordnar man förutom live-framträdande och klubbkväll även en liten enkvälls plansch- och flyerutställning
eller vernissage, som samlar alla affischer och flyers från Les Yper Sounds 5-åriga bana. Det bjuds även på tilltugg
och musik. Utställningen/vernissagen äger rum kl 19-22 på B-gallerian (Aningaisgatan 5 L 5) och efter det kan man ta sig
till Dynamo (Slottsgatan 7) för att se på kvällens artist, Top Sound från Stockholm. Top Sound är enligt
organisatörerna ett av Sveriges för tillfället bästa band. Deras något minimalistiska ljudbild kombinerar bossanova,
franskt 60-tal, 80-tals postpunkminimalism i stil med Young Marble Giants, småskalig elektronik och Beach Boys-liknande
harmonier från den amerikanska västkusten.
Tillställningen kostar 3 euro, B-galleria-utställningen är gratis.

The Berlin-based duo Ben Butler & Mousepad is the new outfit of Joe (from Gay Against You) and Bastian (aka Gtuk). Anyone exposed to the furious shake & pop of pixelated DIY dance fury from either of their other projects should expect excellence. Excellence as in a cloud of pink TV static spreading over psychedelic gradient skies outside the window of your commuter train, analogical lighting bolts blasting in a rainbow coloured Sabbath which burns into the circuitry of your brain like the soundtrack of an old coin-op beat-em-up designed by a crazed cabal of progressive wizards and bearded Sci-Fi savants. Yep, that kind of excellence, like Golden Axe's red dragons invading the hallucinatory dreamscapes of a Philip K. Dick pulp which was never published because it was too weird, and too close to the bone.

B-galleria on voittoa tavoittelematon taidegalleria Turun keskustassa, joka pyrkii tarjoamaan edullista ja helposti lähestyttävää
galleria-tilaa nuorille nouseville taiteilijoille.
Tilassa järjestetään myös keikkoja, elokuvanäytöksiä, luentoja, workshopeja, taidetapahtumia ja happeningeja.

jonka unenomainen, hieman abstrakti, jotenkin aaltomainen musiikki yhdistää shoegazea, ambientia,
ja jossa musiikkiin kuuluvat filmiosuudet ovat olennainen osa kokonaisuutta.
David vastaa musiikista ja Sebastian vastaa kuvaosuuksista.
Sail A Whale ovat julkaisseet singlejä mm. ruotsalaisella Friendly
Noise-merkillä sekä japanilaisella Fastcut-merkillä, sekä
levittäytynyt lukuisien nettisivujen kuten Pitchforkin kautta.



B-galleria turns 5 years and celebrates it toghether with Les Yper Sound at Dynamo.

B-gallery is a non-profit art gallery in Turku. The main purpose of the B program is to provide an inexpensive
and easily approachable gallery space for young emerging artists and their ideas.
The gallery doubles as a project room for gigs, film screenings, lectures, workshops and other art activities and happenings.
B-gallery is now 5 years old and celebrates the fact together with the only slightly younger club-night Les Yper Sound
at Dynamo. Les Yper Sound and B-DJ:s are playing records.

Live-act Sail A Whale is a Swedish project whose dreamlike, slightly abstract, somewhat wave-like music
combines shoegaze and ambient and where the accompanying films are an essential part of the whole.
David is in charge of the music and Sebastian is in charge of the film part.
Sail A Whale have released songs on Swedish label Friendly Noise as well as
Japanese label Fastcut, and has also spread through numerous websites like Pitchfork.
